I had looked forward to Lady Melanie, Kellet and Miss Lillie coming to Brambly Pines with excitement. It was so much fun having them visit. Melanie's trunk of her car was FULL! of stuff for me!!! There were six copy paper boxes just chalked full of fun stuff that I can either keep or pass along. Three of the boxes were sewing and quilting stuff. Two boxes were blue dishes and different trinkets and one box was full of beautiful linens....napkins, table clothes, laces, tea party gloves, pillow cases and an antique pillow cover runner. Oh oh! and one of the best! was a big box of different kinds of BLUE yo yo's to make a yo yo quilt! I can't believe I have all those yo yo's ....ready to put together. I was so excited about those, that I brought the box up to the TT last night and started working on them. Along with ALL of that, there was a bottle of honey that was harvested from "Queen Roxanne's" hive and another jar of Melanie's wonderful french strawberry jam. Besides all the boxes, there were tons of nice terra cotta flower pots, that I had just told Chuck that I needed, the other day. THEN! there was my favorite of all things....Melanie had made me two beautiful bracelets with fresh water pearls and cobalt blue beads. I just LOVE them!
We had a fun visit with touring the " twin house",( they loved all the pretty colors in the house) the barn, the gardens and of course " the mansion and the girls". I hadn't collected the eggs so Melanie could do it. Oh yeah! she brought me a " real egg basket" too. The girls had laid their " five!" eggs so they had done their best for our company. We had lunch in the TT so " Miss Lillie" could have some " wiggle time" before getting back in the car to go back to Birmingham. The time went all so fast. I can't wait for them to come back when we are in the twin house and they can spend the whole weekend with us.
