The Cullman Museum was open to the public for free on Saturday because of " strawberry days". We thought we would take advantage of it and were glad we did. It was in this really pretty two story house and there were several interesting things to see. The history of Cullman was told in several of the rooms. My favorite was done with a cross stitch quilt and period furniture. Upstairs was a room with a lot of animals you can find in Alabama and in another room you could sit and watch a movie of the 1936 Strawberry days parade. ...really funny. After visiting the museum, we went across the street to a really nice hardware/nursery store. We bought a few seeds and a whole tray of pretty plants. We headed home but made four stops before we got there.
