Reading " The Box Car Children"
It was a full week and we had fun every minute of it!  Genavive is growing up so fast. I think she grew 6 inches since the last time I saw her ( 8 months ago)  She helped cook, cleared the table and helped with the dishes.  It was so nice to have all the help.  She was in charged of collecting the eggs every day while she was here.  She loved to go down to the chickens with Papa every evening to put them to bed.   Since Genavive learned to like " hot tea" from the " Royal Daffodil Tea Party" ( because Melanie introduced her to putting the lemon drop in the tea) We had three tea parties ( counting the Royal Daffodil one) The first couple of nights that the girls were here, we all took turns reading a chapter in " The Box Car Children".  It's my favorite book from my childhood.  Marina read it to the class in Fourth Grade.  Genavive loved it too.  The rest of the nights, we read " Memories of Carol Villa" ( the land, People and Home of Seth and Neva Kate Johnson..Gene and Melanie's Grand Parents)  Genavive wouldn't go to bed without us all reading together, in my bed.  A very special memory was made.  My pretty bath tub was a hit!  I knew it would be.  Bubble baths were enjoyed by Shell and Genavive.  The week went by way too fast.  There will be tears at the airport today, but we only have to wait three more months before the fun begins all over again.
