You sure know you are in " the land of cotton" in October. It's time to pick and bale the cotton. A couple of years ago, it seemed like all the farmers gave up planting cotton and planted corn when the big " fuel" idea came about. Since that didn't seem to work out, we are seeing the cotton fields returning. I actually have a couple of cotton plants down in the garden but they haven't popped yet. I hope it's soon because I want to pick it and put it in a vase in the dining room. Charlotte said that Raimey always brings her a bouquet of cotton every Oct. How sweet is that!
