Early Fall
When I went down to the garden yesterday evening, I checked on the pumpkins and since we haven't had any rain and it's been 100 degrees, five of them had their stems dried up and I was afraid that the pumpkins would rot, so I picked them. There are still a couple more on the vines that looked OK to me, so I left them. Not sure what I'm going to do with the ones I picked. I think I might cook them down or cut them up and find a way to freeze them. It was so much fun having the pumpkin patch, I will surely plant another one next Spring.
