Kayak Sunday

We had another kayak Sunday. This time we took the kayaks to Smith Lake in Winston County. When we first got there, it was nice and quiet and we could paddle along the side of the lake in the shade but by noon, everyone was out of church and in their power boats. The sun was over head and it was very hot! We got so hot, that we both got in the lake with our clothes on...and that cooled us down a lot. There were beautiful houses on the cliffs along the lake sides and the people who lived in them, were all enjoying swimming and boating in the lake. We paddled down a couple of inlets and found a waterfall and beautiful ferns and canyons. That was worth putting up with the power boats and the hot weather. Oh yeah!....I even had a vase of black eyed susans in my kayak. I picked them at a little beach and found the glass bottle where someone had left for garbage. It fit perfect in my cup holder. The TT, the explorer, the truck and now my kayak , I have vases for flowers.....I love it!!!!!
