The " side of the road" flower for yesterday was pink tea roses. They were just there in the woods....not anyone's yard. ....climbing up trees. Chuck pulled the explorer over to see what they were and I got out and cut some. They were so pretty....but didn't have a smell. Any ways....we went to Athen's to the hardware store in town because they called to tell us that they had our " yankee flinger" in. So far we haven't seen a squirrel being flung ....they are afraid to get on the feeder. I'm sure they will get up enough nerve and then the poor little things will get flung across the picnic table...lol. It took a little while for the birds to even get used to it. We stopped at WM on the way home and Chuck always goes down the " clearance aisle". This time he picked up a little gas grill for ...are you ready for this?......a whole $7!!!!! Oh yeah.....we also bought three of those old timey metal porch chairs...at the Cado corner flea market.....AND a little metal porch swing. OMG! I'm sitting here at the window ( it's dark outside) and I heard a thud and the "yankee flinger" was moving. I got the flash light and looked out the window. There is a little flying squirrel on the feeder. He doesn't weigh enough for the feeder to fling him. ..lol. Chuck said he would just glide down across the yard anyways. HA! Ya just never know what you are going to see up here.
