We've been in the Cullman Museum at least four or five times. This time we went in to get out of the cold for a little while and it ended up being the best time out of all of them. They had a lady dressed in period clothes from the Civil War and she told us all kinds of things about that period. She explained her "mourning clothes" and as the two years after the death of her husband went by, what she was aloud to add to her black clothing. She even had on a mourning ring which they gave to the ladies who attended the funeral. It's really fun when you get to see what you read about in books, alive in person. They also had a man there playing the music of the period. Upstairs was a quilt show from the Cullman quilt guild. It was an enjoyable walk through the museum. again.
