Have ya ever had fried squash? I had never thought about cooking it that way until I texted Charlotte and asked her if she wanted some of the squash that Troy brought us the other day and she said that she was " frying some" right then and there, that her in-laws gave them from their garden. I just put some olive oil and a little butter in the pan and added the cut up squash with some salt and pepper. It sure was good!!!!!! Charlotte said she dips hers in buttermilk and then bread crumbs and fries it in veggie oil. Will have to try that way, some day.
Oooo. . OOOooooo. . .I saute mine with onion and a little basel (in olive oil so it's healthy). Usually I use zucchini and summer squash together. Very colorful!
