Basement walls

The last picture is the " Great Wall of Brambly Pines"...lol. The basement isn't really that big...it's also the retaining walls outside of the basement. One of the masons is a woman. It looks funny to see a woman in there doing such heavy work but she does a good job. It reminds me of when my Dad had his construction company and my mom would go with him when he built houses. She would carry the block and mix and carry " mud" for him. When he would need more mud...he would yell " MUD!" and my mom would come with a bucket full for him. One day a man asked her ..." what does your husband call you?...and she said... " MUD". That was her nickname from then on out....lol. The workers showed up at 6:30 this morning but the work didn't last long because we got a big rain storm. We knew this could be a problem for us since it's summer. That's OK...we are only one day behind now. I'm sure there will be more but we still should be in the house by the end of the year.
