The Last of Summer

Pretty dahlia that I couldn't ever grow before.

The gardenia that Gene rooted from a piece of hers.  It has grown so fast and is loaded with buds again for the second time this year.

My herbs outside the back door.  I sure have used them a lot this summer. Basil, mint, rosemary, chives, parsley and thyme.

Bedroom window box off the deck full of Florida begonias.

The wisteria is all the way to the top of the pagoda!  It should have a few more weeks to keep growing before it's time for it to lose it's leaves for the winter.  By the end of next summer, we should have shade to sit under.  I'm going to plant "creeping Jenny" in my window boxes and pots again next Spring.  It's such a pretty " hangy downy" in the pots.

My confederate rose that I started from a cutting of Gene's.  I can't wait for it to bloom.  The flowers change colors as the day goes by.  The rabbit foot fern, was Marina's and when I got it from her house, it only had a couple of leaves on it.  The whole basket is almost covered now.  Marina would be so proud of me for taking such good care of it.
