For the Birds

Planted hostas, ground cover and ferns in the Birdhouse Fence bed.

I've been making glass bird feeders for the yard and  presents for my friends.  I've been collecting different pieces of glass ware at the Thrift stores and with experimenting with different glues. I have come up with the best...E6000.  It's like glass building blocks.  They are so pretty when you get done.  I've found that using wine bottles for the bottom piece is the best. (another way to use up the wine bottles around here) They fit on the smallest metal pole that Home Depot has.  Bud vases work also though.  It's addictive.  You make one and you want to make another one.  It's funny how you look at a wine glass, ice cream dish, bowls, plates and odd shaped pieces of glass ware.  I don't think of putting people food in them.  I think dishes for the birds!!
