First day in the Forest.

Blue Bells

Trillium

Brushy Lake Dam

Since the weather has not been the " BEST" for our Spring Break week, we had to change some of our plans but didn't let it stop us from having fun.  We just spent the one " rainy day" shopping.  We continued our plans for hiking in the forest.  We went to Holmes Chapel Falls first.  Since it's a really short hike, we then showed them the Brushy Lake Dam.  ...another short walk.  Then, Genavive was all excited about finding a " Geocache" treasure so we went to Borden Creek to look for a new one that we had never found before.  Guess what!  we never found it...lol.  We had all the clues and Chuck's GPS. We thought for sure we were right on clue.  All four of us spread out and looked high and low....up the canyon walls and all the hollowed out trees.  Genavive had the best time, looking for it but it was getting late so we had to give up.  When we got home, Papa and Genavive got on line and found out that we weren't even in the right place.  That happens some times.  Some of them are really hard to find.  We will try again another time.  We did get to see the first " Blue bells" and a lot of "Trilliums".  The Wild Flowers are starting to bloom in the Forest!
