Day Two in the Forest

Genavive was the " leader" on this hike.

Genavive found the geocache!

The pink Lizard!

The cave at the Shelter.

The Indian shelter
Since the weather was too cold to take the Kayaks and the canoe down the Sipsey River, we decided to just spend another day in the forest, hiking.  Genavive was set on finding a " geocache" so we took the girls to Parker Branch Falls.  There are several waterfalls and beautiful canyons.  Shell said it was her favorite place in the forest, so far.  It is really beautiful and doesn't seem real.  I called it my " Jan Brett Story Book Day" ( if you don't know who she is, check out some of her children's books...they are the best!)  Genavive found her "geocache" and took a pink lizard out of the can, just like the ones that Aunt Shell and I have from other geocache's.  After having lunch and playing around the waterfalls, we left there and went to the Kinlock Indian Shelter where they still have ceremonies at different times of the year.  It was a full day in the forest.  Until next time.......
