I had no idea what a septic tank looked like. It was waaaaay bigger than I thought it would be. Once they dug the hole and put it in the ground, they covered it all up but the two little green domes. Once grass has grown over the whole area, you won't notice the domes so much. After they put the tank in, they had to take down some more trees....enough for two lenghts of 90 feet of drain pipe thingys for the tank to drain into. On top of all this digging, they also had to dig a trench from the transformer to the house.....right down the middle of the drive way. Another MESS! After laying the electrical pipe, they covered it all up BUT...the gravel that was there got mixed into all the dirt...THEN...it RAINED! So now we have MUD again!!!! No one will be able to drive up to the house , which means the delivery trucks. I guess Troy will figure something out..like us getting another load of gravel and soon! We are back to using the back path in the woods to walk to the barn again. It's just a reminder of what we went through all of last winter and we shouldn't take anything for granted...like gravel!
