I've decided that it was meant to be that one of " the girls" turned out to be a rooster. I love hearing him crow and his feathers are turning out to be really pretty. I can't wait for his tail feathers to get really long. They are going to be translucent green. ...sooo pretty in the sun light. I guess IF I ever decide to raise some more chickens from babies....it would be fun to have them hatch in the mansion. I'm not going to say " never" cause knowing me, I will change my mind one of these days....but for right now, the five hens and a rooster are enough for me.
