Well, it's a done deal. We closed on the house here in Florida, yesterday. A very strange feeling after owning our house for 31 years and where we raised our two kids....that over night, it's not ours any more. We are still living in it for a couple of weeks, thanks to the sweet kids that bought it. We sold it to " family"......Genavive's Aunt bought it, so Genavive will still be spending a lot of time here in the house. We love the idea that a little boy and baby girl will be living in the house again. I hope they have as good memories as we had in it, over the years. Chuck says, yesterday was the second big step we have made to the rest of our lives. The first one was buying the 22 acres. I'm not sure what to say the third step will be because there are so many ahead of us. We will just take them one step at a time and have fun doing it all. We are leaving here, with a big 26 foot Uhaul truck with a trailer on the back, carrying the 1970 Camaro, with me following with the explorer, loaded with the " breakables", along with two yowling kitties. We are so lucky that Shell is going to go with us to help move. " IF" we can't get everything in the Uhaul truck, we will go rent another van and Shell will drive that for us. This, way she will be there to help unload the truck, have a quick, early Thanksgiving on the land and we will take her to Birmingham on Monday to fly home. We have decided to sell Chuck's truck down here so we won't have to come back to get it. We are going to need a 4 wheel drive up there, any ways...so will buy a used pick up to use on the land. Well, I had better get back to my 39 years of " stuff,"packing. Have a lot of last " good byes, dentist, Dr appts and " must do list" to get done in the next couple of weeks. " Sweet Home Alabama" where skies are so blue....here we come!

Smiling.............
Everyone is smiling....even Bush Hog. We have finally sold the house in Florida!!!! Every day I have to pinch myself to make sure that I'm not dreaming. The closing on the house is Oct 16. We are staying in the house for three weeks afterwards so Chuck can give his notice at work and then it will give us a week to get packed and out of here. We will be getting to Alabama just as the cold weather sets in . Sure beats this 93 degree weather that we have here in Florida. Hopefully we won't have to live all winter without some kind of heat in the TT. The first thing we are planning on doing is Chuck trenching for the water and electric.
As soon as we have electricity and cable, my blog will be back up and running. I plan on posting to the blog every day so ya'll can read about the next adventure in our lives. There sure is a lot to look forward too. " Sweet Home Alabama" here we come.
